As I learn more and more about real estate investing, it has taken up a significant portion of my time as I gain more knowledge in this field.  

In the process of finding my 1st deal, while I’m very independent it would be nice to know other locals in this field.

Rather than looking at rent/price, it makes more sense, at a minimum, to level the playing field by using (rent-taxes)/price.

Is it true that in the Title business, closers/agents in this field have built up a client list that will follow them to a new office???

As in, you can't be a licensed contractor in any field and not know a permit is required to do any work in this city.

Then cut them up into football sized pieces.

In fact, I don't hire people who wear multiple hats, I want them to be an expert in the field in the same way I am with real estate and my own profession. 

Upon our move, my wife will leave her primary job in Hawaii and will be self employed in Washington as a Rodan and Fields Skincare rep.
