We have a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home and we are adding a third bedroom and second bathroom. 

I find that hard to believe since nearby comps are selling for $220-$230k for 3/2s fixed up ( my plan was to convert the carport in to a room so it can be a 3 bedroom house).

So we lived in one side with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, family room, laundry, garage.

@Aaron K. three units total- two are two bedrooms and one is one bedroom.

I'd move into the downstairs bedroom and rent out the two bedrooms upstairs.

It will likely be a 3 bedroom, single family home.

One guy I know who runs his business in retail space and rents 4 1 bedrooms above in a building he owns has only had 1 tenant pay the past few months.

I am currently renting an apartment in the Dallas, TX area and for about the same price or a little more than I am spending now, I could get a 3 bedroom house.My credit score is about 730 and I am thinking I would put about 5% down on a home with a target price range of about $230,000.

The lot is zoned commercial, but has a residential 1848 sqft duplex sitting on it. the lot size is 0.28 acresi was thinking a studio or 1 bedroom unit in the backyard can help cashflow it but thinking about what would it takeThanks

I don't know about Clearwater but where I am renters would think it is weird to have a water heater in the master bedroom closet.
