I don't know what the issue is on the landlord part but as I stated previously I will be contacting the landlord office first thing tomorrow morning to find out what happen to my rent that was paid.  

Welcome @Matthew Manus - In case you have not seen it yet, there is a local meetup here in Charlotte of BP members, tomorrow night (Tues. the 20th).  

A funny add-on to this is that I have an appliance repair scheduled for a gas range that isn't working....tomorrow.

I will definitely be using this tomorrow when I make some calls.

I actually spent the day getting caught up on emails and reading articles and economic reports and listening to a BP Podcast (no, not my own).Oh, and one more thing (and you were close on this one)...checking the weather for my flight tomorrow to Santa Monica (close to Malibu!)

Alright well I started looking in to REI first week of January now today after listening to several hours of podcast and succes stories I have come across several positive outcomes, First at of all I met my mentor by calling one of the we buy houses signs he's teaching me and supporting me and giving me valuable info, second I have had contact with several sellers some realtor no investors yet but I'm searching, on Saturday I checked out my first house talked to my mentor about it, he called one of his investors and the guy wants to look at the house tomorrow my mentor said its looking good, seems like my mentor offered it to his buyer for $2500 over asking price wich is great!!!
