well, I will be heavily traveling for those 3 months and I am able to command a pretty decent profit on the rental, and I can use the spare cash ;) (great tenants - 760+ credit score, 4x income etc.). 

After I closed operations and took a year off to travel the country and go rockclimbing and alpine mountaineering (I guess I needed More adrenaline rush), I was hired by Marcus & Millichap one of the largest commercial brokerage companies in the country.

Do some research among other active hosts in your area and see what they think about your house as short term or moderate term, e.g. corporate rental or travel nurses.  

I ended up borrowing from my sister to make the payments and used up the credit cards until I sold the property.You gotta know what you are doing with people's money BEFORE you get into a deal.

My sister's and I inherited our father's PA home, but he died without a will so we have to go through probate.

They travel lot and wont buy for sure.

My sister is the Trustee of the Trust.

I work a full-time job, my wife is a travel agent and works from home. 

My Grandparents had 8 children, 2 of whom are passed on, one of the deceased is my mother, which makes my sister and I beneficiaries. 

Just leaving lights on won't do it either.This is fire that's not worth playing with.What if you travel a lot?
