My contractor also mentioned that she was "incredibly unpleasant" to him while he was there making repairs for her.We've talked to her about the noise, but directly insulting other tenants (especially based on race) is unacceptable.

If they can prove your real motivation was that you didn't rent to them because they are of a particular race, then you're in trouble.

It's sorta like breaking a wild horse. 

I'll be doing some major renovation, and plan to re-fence the pasture for horses.
