I am looking to network with other investors (to bounce ideas off of as well as introduce deals to) and cash lenders (people who are interested in some creative financing strategies).  

It sounds like checking google maps/street view  is a time efficient strategy. 

@Harman N. welcome to the forum - I was also at the meet up Thursday and sounds like we are focusing on the same strategy.

However as the market continued to climb and people began to pay unreasonable prices we exited the strategy by the end of 2015.

I found BiggerPockets from reading "The Book on Investing In Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down: Real Life Strategies for Investing in Real Estate Using Other People's Money".

My strategy for this would be choosing one pre foreclosure property, looking at comps using Zillow as advices by Sean Terry, and going in there and hoping to spark a conversation.

@Grant Francke - I used that strategy to find my last multi family purchase. 94% owner financed with 6% 15 year balloon and 30year am.

@Patrick Wheeler - so far it seems the same strategies in Investing (and life, if you think about it) also apply to networking.

You will not be able to move those if you and/or your wife currently work for those employers.With a self-directed IRA, a strategy of combining funds belonging to you and your wife, for the purpose of flipping is very complex.  

I am from Melbourne Australia and am beginning to invest in Vegas.My strategy is to wholesale and build capital to do flips and rentals.
