The new water front development has helped but the downtown is still like some out dated mid western city that has not much going on.

I’m looking at residential and commercial  property in western MA and Florida and I’m wondering if there are any incentives for buying solar on business rooftops or just on land (I see this a lot in residential properties with lots of acreage in western ma with the SMART incentives).

I operate a property management that covers Hartford County, CT and parts of Western Mass.

Albany, especially, is almost entirely single family homes, in good condition, with little opportunity for profit.I haven’t lived there in a while, but areas around Lake Merrit (on the western side, towards downtown Oakland) could be worth looking into.

One goal is to encourage additional residential along the four BRT corridors -- New Bern, Western, Wilmington... and some other North Raleigh route still to be determined.Of potential interest to forum members is that the proposed text could allow many existing large houses to be legally converted into duplexes.* Right now, for instance, a duplex in an R-6 zone (common in southwest Raleigh, where my properties are) requires a 65' wide, 1/3 acre lot.

Could it have anything to do with bad publicity over western drought?
