Austin (77 days) and San Antonio (68 days) showed minor fluctuations from the previous month.Although housing supplies remained high, active listings fell for the first time since May, reaching 103,395 listings.

I'd avoid dark colours because chips will show more easily. 

@Dave Harlan getting the inspection wrong can easily cost tens of thousands of dollars (or more), and can completely ruin a deal.

Another way to get a good idea of what's out there is by reaching out to property management companies in those markets.

Condos downtown are affordable, but that adds HOA and taxes can easily hit 8k.I visited Farragut/Marryville TN.
