DIY can also work well, especially if you know people in the market you choose, have connections to reliable contractors etc - your network really makes or breaks this kind of investment because you have to manage all the moving pieces from afar, but it also gives you little more control and could potentially result in higher returns if you get the numbers right.

In an attempt to add value to her and the education they will be providing me, my thought is to hire a friend of mine who produces high quality video content for real estate agents and auctioneers(yes, there will be drone footage).

I have been in the Telecommunications field for more then 20 years, and am starting to feel like I am suck in a never ending loop of Middle management. lol .I am choosing wholesaling as it looks like less of a risk way to getting into real estate.

We’re not sure if this is the right move, as we would lose the additional monthly income from the rents, and also any equity the house may gain in the future, if we choose to wait to sell. 

They will be able to help your friend choose the best type of structure to suit the investor's needs.
