After simply looking it up in Google, I came across an article by Brandon Turner, an entrepreneur in real estate, titled “How to Start Investing in Real Estate at a Young Age (or a “Young at Heart” Age)”.

Short answer = if your ROI is good and you don't need a $500K heart surgery, be happy.  :-)

The latter is a must IMO for serious folks.Alternatively, do all above to learn but if you don't have the heart, time, skill or whatever and think you'd rather be a passive investor (especially if you are accredited) then look into being a limited partner in apartment syndicate deals.
