For a quick background, I moved to Royal Oak, MI in July 2014 and purchased a property to live in. 

My background & experience in real estate investing is limited, and dates back about 2 years.

Honestly, with your background, your bigger problem will not be finding money but finding good deals.

My point was meant to provide a little background or context for this question: What are some business tips or advisories you could offer a couple that assume the inherent differences between us and a strictly professional partnership?  

I have a construction background, mostly commercial and retail construction, but i am seeing that i will probably need to start with residential because of my low funds.  

I started in the business back in 2002, and came from a tax accountant background (real estate is infinitely more exciting).

I have no real estate background but i am currently working with a agent to find my first multi-family property.

I also counsel and represent several condo associations.I’m here, though, to learn from everybody’s diverse experiences and backgrounds.

A little background...I own a rental and a personal residence.

My hubby and I own an organizing business and love what we do; however, we're looking for more...something that can utilize all of our skills (my hubby has an extensive background in construction) and is lucrative.
