@Joe Splitrock 4br/2ba raised rancher, with basement. 1,448 sqft, built in 1952, furnace is AT LEAST 15 yrs old.Already put in new digital thermostat, given free by pepco (no help)...... it was originally a 2br/1ba with addition...

My suggestion to you is to work alongside ONE agent and tell them what exactly you are looking for so you both can be on the same page.To answer you question about whether $170k is a good price that agent will help you by doing a CMA on the property before you put in an offer to give you an idea on what the property is currently worth and the values of the similar properties around it.

We put in a new AC unit, breaker box, roof, tore out rotted wood on the roof of the back addition, new insulation in the back room, new windows all around, all new doors, new siding, collapsed the septic tank and added a sewer line to the street, moved walls and opened walls inside, tore out the rock driveway and poured a concrete driveway, new fencing front and back, we also replaced some of the old steel plumbing with pex.
