But I do have a commercial business in agriculture (greenhouse) and I grew up farming.IMHO the fundamental mistake that people make entering this kind of industry is in underestimating the technical skill and rapidly changing science and technology in agriculture.

I've been working in Technology for the past... well, I don't want to age myself, but let's say I have a lot of experience.

The "security" you speak of at a W2 is a lie in my opinion.

My question lies with how I can purchase a second property sometime over the summer months in the Oshkosh, WI area by potentially partnering with my brother.

There are cases where people lie and say they own a vacant property and rent it out.

His rent roll said that there were 24 occupied units and 21 vacant units but when I toured I discovered that only 6 units were occupied and there were 39 vacant units, his property manager had been lying to him.

The buyer and buyer agent are very fony and difficult to deal and communicate and keep lying us around. 

I am assuming ( although I could be wrong) she does not have the technological abilities to be able to pay rent online through a property management software.What is the most effective/hands-off method for collecting rent when online payment is not an option? 

When I was getting started this is what I did, I found an older investor who was fairly clueless when it came to technology so I helped him in that aspect of his business and he taught me what he knew.
