Investing makes you money, which buys freedom and time.

However, I was unaware of the potential and financial freedom real estate investing could provide me at the time.  

If that is the mindset of someone, they need to find another industry to work in.There are hundreds if not thousands of us that have done this and built businesses that gave us financial freedom!

Just keep repeating the same thing on your path to financial freedom.

While it is unfortunate that they were dishonest in some manner, you are now not bound to their lease agreement and have the freedom to make any changes you see fit.

WARNING: the individuals in this group are as passionate (if not more passionate) about achieving financial freedom. 

While I am not looking to become rich per se, I am looking for financial freedom.

I believe that how much you love the property and the process of managing it levels up your initial intention (to invest, to gain financial freedom, etc.), which in turn, CREATES JOY.
