Keep a few things in mind: 1) Some lenders do have a 'seasoning' period, although mine was only 6 months and it wasn't an issue for them; 2) Your lender WILL conduct an appraisal (which you may or may not have to pay for depending on lender) to determine a new, current value; 3) They will lend an amount to you based on a total LTV (loan to value).

If the $ is big enough it might make sense to consult with an attorney to determine if this was handled properly by the seller/condo association as concerns prospective purchasers.

That's not always so with other cities though, and I've had trouble even finding their MLS on the internet, and begrudgingly I end up going to Zillow for searches to see what's available.  

there are brokerages that are your basic incubators for new agents.. full of training.. that's what you need as others have stated if your current broker has no formal scheduled training videos and training sessions you need to switch.you cant learn real estate brokerage and sales from a cracker jack box.. nor from the internet.. you need real training.. 

Should she sell it, it is currently on the market, I will receive 1/3, my father 1/3, and my aunt 1/3.My internet research suggests that the basis of the property reset in 2002.

Is there a way of determining the value of the property after are the updates?

I am trying to determine a strong market to start searching for deals but am not sure where to start.
