I wrote back saying that I wanted to push out the closing by 1-2 weeks as I needed to buy this property as a 1031 exchange and my sale was also closing around the same time, July 29th to be precise.

It looks like someone has already tried to solve a problem in that exact spot.The concrete is new(er) white vs older tan from the curb back, but the blacktop looks undisturbed.If that space is driven over by vehicles, the weight could be crushing the sewer line and cracking it.Or for instance, if a phone company truck parked there during a repair.

The battery one will be replaced, but I am guessing at my cost as I can not prove they did it intentionally, even though they definitely did smoke in the property, and a lot to use up a ten year battery in 5 months.I kind of feel like way back when I was a teen, decades ago, the insurance company would give you $100 to $300 if someone else damaged your vehicle with a big scratch, because it was not worth fixing, there was a consequence, but maybe not now for rentals that get these types of damages.Usually I just do not go after these type of damages, but for these people I will.
