Sewage Leak on Curb outside Proip
Hello everyone,
I bought a brand new rehabbed property back in March 2020. I am currently experiencing an issue with a sewage leak, coming out of a pipe on the sidewalk outside of my place. I called the Philly Water Department, they sent a guy out, and he told me I have 10 business days to fix the problem, or they will turn my water off. He recommended calling a plumber to fix the problem. He also mentioned a city HELP program that assists owners with costs for repairs, but he mentioned they always go for the most expensive repairs to make more money off of homeowners.
I called a couple plumbers and they are coming out to do estimates. I wanted to see if anyone had a solid plumber recommendation, or any advice on how best to handle this situation.
Thanks,
Tyler

Bruce,
These methods have been around for a long time now and are not jury-rigged fixes. They are a proven, commercially viable solution that will last a very long time. I work for a utility and they save millions of dollars over full replacement and repairs. Water and sewer utilities are using these methods all the time.
