Over the summer i saw a building in DE built in 1682.Typically older buildings do not have up dated mechanicals, electrical, heat, plumbing and AC.

if your new to real estate first thing I would do is buy a pre license course.. this will teach you the vocabulary and its cheap a few hundred bucks.. or buy a used course from someone on e bay.. learn the mechanics first ..

I am a class A hvac mechanic and contractor, and there is no right or wrong way to heat/cool a bldg.You got 40 yrs out of your old system, and a new one should last another 40.Ductless splits will last 10-15 years, if someone does not steal the outside units.
