Where to find hard money lenders in NY?

Apologies, I'm sure this question has been asked a million times.

How can I find legitimate Hard money lenders?

Has anyone used a hard money lender in NY that they can recommend?

I've found a couple online but since this would be my first deal I'm not sure how to tell which ones are legitimate.

I'm planning on buying my first investment property and BRRRRring it, looking into Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan counties.

Any info or advice would be super helpful!
