I took the approach to learn some skills, DIY, and hire contractors for big ticket items.

It's a kit, they are handling the build, but they aren't TERRIBLY responsive. 

GCs will be expensive so not saying you should necessarily go with said bid, but it'll give you an idea then you can determine if you want to DIY some/all of it.

Log how many hours you spend doing this and multiply by whatever you believe your hourly time is worth....then see if you actually saved any money DIY..........just sayin'

You'll want to start building a credibility kit and getting some references, etc. to overcome all that stuff.

If sending out a 100 hand-written yellow letters and putting up 40 bandit signs (btw can be a DIY project) set you back, then your probably aren't financially ready to start investing. 

I loved her credibility kit concept--I think her approach is more reflective of how women approach relationships and dating.

Rather, full of a lot of DIY misinterpretation of state real estate codes and realtor board regulations.

Most of the DIY marketing books seem to chant the same mantra and then throw a new tidbit or two out there...I need the book with all the tidbits rounded up..or a consultant that can give solid direction.
