Go online and become a member it will be the best about 200 bucks you spend.You can get a handbook from them on landlord tenant laws but this is also available online,, just google MN state landlord tenant laws.So first is to organize your leases, If as you said some tenants are on Section 8 or other state programs get the contact person for their case.

@Linda Weygant is correct from all information I have been able to glean from Lawyers, CPAs and reading through a tedious amount of law.Keep in mind, I'm not a lawyer and do not reside in your state but as long as each LLC is completely separate (organization, accounts, accounting, etc.) there is no way California can stake claims on a California LLC operating as a foreign entity.

Because I own businesses in other fields its great to wall off the software by company from the employees view but from my vantage point it's one system that reaches people in all parts of the organization, allows us all to work together on projects and enhances inter office communications.
