A good friend waited two years to get their deposit back due to strategic moves by a military landlord to avoid/delay repayment of deposit on a poorly cash flowing rental they owned (I believe they wanted the deposit to handle repairs they couldn't afford or want to pay for that were not the tenants responsibility).BP Service members, is it ethical to delay handling tenant disputes due to a deployment?
