I am currently a commercial real estate project manager living in Des Moines, IA, (working all over the country), and finally in a position to start pursuing my dream of building a real estate investment portfolio.I have been in the real estate industry for just over (5) years, but have a great deal to learn about building and managing a personal investment property portfolio.  

Small dreams/goals have no magic.I do have it broken down year by year of how many units to acquire while the first 3-4 years maybe slow in terms of number of unit it will increase much faster once i can get things set up to basically fire myself from day to day tasks that take up so much time and just focus on finding deals, forced appreciation to increase overall value and equity in the building preparing a build to refinancing it, and trading up when the time is right to move on to a bigger property.  

I want my sons and daughters to be able to come to work with me and be discipled in business.Also, I wish to take care of my parents when they are aged, and buy the "Cook Family Ranch" my dad and I have dreamed about for years.On that ranch I want to teach young inter-city kids and teens what it's like to be a real man of courage and faith.So I'm with you, rat race won't get me there.
