They were supposed to have them painted back to original color prior to moving and carpets were not cleaned professionally.  

Things like: a ceiling fan, one room of custom color paint, a microwave hood, small storage shed, etc.  

The basement only has 7' ceilings with low hanging duct work.

You might consider painting the home, or at least rooms that are painted bold colors, a neutral color that does not make them seem too big or too small.

I can tell you that in my area that looking at assessed values is like checking to see what color a house is-who cares?

It is the first thing that people see when they drive up to the house, make it very colorful and very inviting.
