You do pay $115 for the license & tech fee and $60 to renew the license every 2 years, however, as said earlier, just to get licensed you have to take a class, take the test and then complete continuing education every year.

They are also a lot more tech savvy being able to interact through the app, share pictures and videos quickly, and take payments through all usual means.
