Contractors using PM or thumbtack
I have hired a property management company to manage a duplex property. They are providing estimates from contractors that are 20-40% higher than the vendors on thumbtack, and 2x in some cases.
What's your experience with using vendors by PM vs finding on your own using thumbtack?

I understand they’re trying to minimize their risk. I have had good experience with contractors on thumbtack so far. But that makes me wonder if I’ll be doing that for all requests going forward. And if so, what’s the benefit of having a PM?
