@Michael Dumler so what do you think of house hacking or turning a single family into a multi- unit in the Bankhead area in terms of cash flow?  

It will just be an informational statement that I completed the ownership change but am still the owner and no terms of the lease change including where they remit rent.

how long will it take you to get your $40K back?

I have heard of some evictions taking as long as 6 months when the typical time to evict in Indiana is about 35 days. 

Do any of you have long-distance properties that you manage yourself? 

I love working with midterm rentals as they bring more income than long-term rentals and higher occupancy than short-term rentals while maintaining similar rates.

If it’s to be your primary home until the day you sell it you don’t be affected as long as you don’t hold it long enough for it to rise too much in value. (15 years?).
