Google LLC announced Aug. 15 plans to invest more than $1 billion in Texas this year, its latest strategic goal focused on supporting cloud and data center infrastructure.Some of that investment will go directly into the technology giant’s data center campuses in Red Oak and Midlothian, both south of Dallas, which are helping the company meet the increasing demand for cloud and artificial intelligence services.

My big goal for my career if I pursued this would be to be developing commercial real estate projects and building a portfolio of my own real estate investments.  

This is the simple playbook that tons of Americans have used to build wealth over the last 2 decades:1.

I’m concerned this could come back to bite me so to speak.

Oh one more thing and this is subjective....

the first property I purchased was in Cleveland back in 2005 a single family that I purchased for  22k cash and i rehabbed it after work and on weekends this property was in the hood I put 12k in it put a tenant in and sold it for 79k to investor who an real estate agent referred me. 

So someone who is looking purely to maximize potential return (and has unlimited time) is unlikely to find this a good fit.

Is there new construction in this area?

Hello, I’m have plans to remodel the basement in my house and rent it out. but before making any major renovations, I thought it would be a good idea to ask in here if anyone in the Cobb county area in GA has done this before?
