I read in one Bigger Pockets article that there's a "Partnership Agreement", what is that exactly, and is there any protection from someone going after both of us in the worst case scenario of something litigious happening? 

If he won't bite on terms that make sense, then he isn't really looking to owner finance, he is hoping to find a bigger sucker.

I have a lot of family in the real estate business, in Pittsburgh, and have been educating myself throughout the last few years, including reading many books through Bigger Pockets, such as Long Distance Real Estate Investing.

Are there any suggestions as to getting an umbrella policy for my first duplex, or putting that into an LLC?

Hi all, brand new to bigger pockets and to real estate investing.I am having the first time buyer nervous jitters.Thought maybe some of you all with experience could give your two cents worth.I am considering purchasing a home for about $48,000.

Advise you guys talk to your attorneys and look at grabbing an umbrella insurance policy sine the property is in your personal names. 

While living in Japan I started studying real-estate via Bigger Pockets.
