There are a lot of very low cost duplexes here but they're in higher crime areas like the east side and west side.

There are lots of REIA groups in the area too that would be great for you attend.I personally recommend Baltimore County...places like Dundalk and Middle River have some great single family and multi-family properties.

On the rental application they put the first name of the brother but used a last name that was the applicants middle name.

Welcome to the board Rocco,I spent the last few years in Naples, now I moved about an hour north of there.Naples has several low priced areas with opportunity, Golden Gate, Golden Gate Estates, Naples Manor and East Naples are a few.

Found some really nice deals, i got them under contract and with all of these brains working together NO-ONE warned me about the snow...LOL Its been almost 3 months and i havent been able to much at all.Just curious to know how investors on the east coast, midwest or where ever it snows for a long period of time are able to keep the cycle moving during those periods?

One of my concerns is that the prior owners are willing to take such a huge loss on the property considering they want it to be an investment, but the broker assured us that it's been sitting on the market for quite awhile, they're unable to properly manage it from so far away, and the real estate market in the area is slow - so they've been aggressively priced to sell.Anyways, the house just next door to the east (the yellow one) is a very comparable property detail wise, but not quite as nice and it currently is leased out for $700 per month.

And college education is going to be a big wammy,Even so, I still think just uprooting from current living expenses in USA and finding upper-middle class lodging (hotwater included) in cool places like Argentina, Chile, Thailand, and even parts of Europe can be done just as comfortably and for much less money than life at home.Anyway, it is fun to plan and think about,
