Do you just use a side set-back as an open walkway so the ADU tenant can get to the street?  

He also made us do the entire walkway to the front steps & he got down & measured the height of each step to ensure it was 'code'.

We remove such plants if they are within 3 feet of a walkway.

I know there are slip fees (if the slip isn't included in the purchase price) and I'd be shocked if there weren't some sort of HOA fee to pay for docks, walkways, garages, and depending on the marina utilities.On the positive side, you get waterfront property and a unique draw for tenants.

Hard to fight city hall, students need safe walkways, residents need to stay out of the street, etc.

It's just 3 steps, 8 ft or so of walkway, and about 40 ft of sidewalk for reference.
