Hotels, restaurants, and car rental agencies have gone bankrupt; closing their doors indefinitely.

If I buy a 1.4m 4plex and intend to keep the building indefinitely, is there any benefit to a cost seg study?

REI planned on opening their new campus in Bellevue Spring District in 2020, but COVID took a huge toll on REI’s business and they are now forced to give up some of their campus, which Facebook is supposed to buy or lease (I believe)Microsoft has been planning a new $5+ billion campus but recently announced that they are going to allow all of their employees continue flexible work from home options indefinitely, so they probably will have unused office buildings up for grabs as well as their existing campus... who knows what will happen there.

It seems strange for this to be an indefinite arrangement, but is it doable?

I may not be able to evict them, but nothing says I have to provide them free service indefinitely  

I'm also fortunate enough to be able to work from anywhere in the country indefinitely, which has be re-evaluating my real estate ambitions.Previously I was evaluating 2-4 family house hacks in Northern NJ, and those often fall in the $500,000 - $800,000 range with 0.7% to 0.9% price-to-rent ratios.

They said they'd be here indefinitely.

I've been reading a few stories about how Bay Area tech companies may let employees work from home indefinitely even after the pandemic is over, and that may cause a shift in real estate values.
