@Keleisha Carter what are the goals with your first short term rental? 

Ideally you purchase once you move here since you have lower down payment options if you house hack but if it's going to be a few years and you want to get started then a duplex Would be a good idea and there are lots of great areas to purchase a great duplex that central or relatively so, i.e. greater clairemont area, bay ho, bay park, linda vista, etc.
