I ask because I figure that as a foreigner, investing in US property is not ideal from a cash flow perspective unless you're scaling with multiple properties.

My short term goal is to own at least 10 rental properties within the next 8 years (I have 1 now 9 more to go) with positive cash flow (ideally free and clear).

Ideally what I am looking for is 3BD+ SFH with the potential to rent out the rooms or even better the basement.

As always, the best deals are direct between you and seller!

@Adam Sherritt, I assume you're dealing directly with a seller.

But, I was just happy he was gone and I didn't have to visit the hospital.Since that day, I am always armed when I deal with a REI situation like that.  

This late in the season, it would be a challenge to find a group of four students who would be ideal tenants.  

I would only do the deal if I had direct control.
