In my experience, they are mostly looking for evidence that all potential hazards have been mitigated and the best way to give them comfort in that is to provide good photos of what has been taken care of already.

The idea is to remain calm, address the judge politely ("your honor"), not speak until you are spoken to, NOT argue with the defendant (if your tenants even bother to show up; many don't), have a copy of your lease with you that outlines the parts they have violated, have evidence that you have provided them with the proper notice to vacate and state your side of the case quickly and clearly.Judges who handle these type of cases have heard all of this MANY times before.
