If I flip a house and make a profit after 6 months, then buy a new property 3 months later, what taxes will I be obligated to pay?

The condo I am looking at is close to the new Aquarium that is going up, the new Grand Village, etc..I feel like as a buy and hold it is fantastic since it is guaranteed to appreciate but also as a completely remodeled 3/3 so close to the strip, I could do well with STR and at a longer renting period as opposed to golf/lake rentals.

For example, if you buy a $400k home and put 20% down (say its investment) your loan is $320k.

It is far more likely that a first-time homebuyer is going to buy as their primary residence.

Im considering buying a 4plex in McAllen or Edinburg at the 400k - 530K range.

Any of these deals thats a 5 figure buy in and a split you have to think twice about.

@Justin SkilesJust a question, but if you have the funds to buy and renovate, why do you need a partner?

I thought my property would increase in value more than that; especially if an investor were to buy it.
