My major was real estate and I would recommend it for anyone in college who plans to get into real estate when they graduate.

Thought I'd share my story and hope it would inspire someone else to go for it like so many of the stories here inspired me.My interest began when I was in college learning to be an xray tech.

I studied Real Estate in college before joining the Air Force.

I have taken to reading books on economics etc. to get a better grasp of the economy in general and refresh college courses from years ago.  

BP Community,I am planning on using a FHA loan for a "house-hack" situation in the Pittsburgh area after I graduate college this spring.  

I have considered if low down payment for a fix and flip would be a good idea, have no experience fixing internals in a house, but I am a mechanic and very handy and could see myself getting into fix and flips.

I'm also currently building the project at 201 College Ave.

I’m a 37-year-old father of two looking to find some long-term income options for college and retirement.I have little to no real estate experience outside of purchasing two personal residences (selling one to buy the second) and my wife and her friend owned a small rental property that I helped with.

By the way the property is up the street from my college rent so rent around here is about 600 per room.
