Also wise to think about perhaps if you sell the house, will the new owner add some lattice up there that will trap snow.

I AM NOT GETING INTO POLITICTS BUT THE HOUSES HOUSES HAVE WARRANTIES ON THEM JUST LIKE THEY DO IN AMERICA, SOMETHING HAPPENS TAKE THEM TO COURT LOL.

If the pricewould have been $20k less I would have been good with just a VA loan.So depending if you're looking at a larger more expensive house, I wouldn't refi the 1st one as I'm sure your interest rate is pretty low, plus adding closing cost would add more $ being refinanced.

Mail houses have minimums for each order, which makes it tough to do weekly.I was hoping you could shed some light on how to systemize this?

I recently found a duplex in puerto rico that I can house hack but I'm just worried about the economic situation in puerto rico. the house is in a small town of Coamo not the metro area. should I take this risk of investing in Puerto Rico? 

@Zak House, a home warranty doesn't protect "the home" because it isn't designed to.

He repeatedly kept saying he was the best, and anytime I needed work he would say his contractors are the best.issues with  the house: Foundations caving it with countless stress fractures and rooms sinking in with doors sticking making them nearly impossible to open. 35 years of vacancy at that house led to house walls being filled with mice... they chewed on the electrical wires and chewed holes in every wall and next to outlet covers and they chewed the entiee inner door frame from tbe walkup attic giving them easy access to walls throughout the house.

This house only needed a full paint job, hot water heater and new flooring.

Let's say it's a house sitting on 20 acres.
