It needs fixed, and should be fixed, so taking $20k (completely random number) off the price, means you have $5k more in your pocket from down payment and $15k lower mortgage, which doesn't necessarily mean you will have the money to get it fixed.At the end of the day it is all business.

I think the consensus there is that the older population is dying off faster than the younger generations are moving in....but that dynamic is still creating a stronger rental market in the area.
