While I will keep looking, I'm not convinced my backyard is the best place to look.One other option is to pursue something in the Sarasota / Tampa / Clearwater area.

I agree with @Blair Poelman  The bigger the house, the bigger the asking price, the smaller pool of end buyers you have...which means it will sit on the market longer which will increase all of your holding costs that on a property of that size won't be cheap!

Hello colleagues,While we started working on an apartment building (15 units) at Atlanta downtown (GA), we were told some strangers drove cars through the parking lot to the lawn backyard during some nights.

We found the person that my property happen to be right in his back yard.

Why limit your buyer pool? 

I did not go in the backyard but the last time I was there, there was trash everywhere and it just looked bad.

In Atlanta/metro, you have to have a "real" kitchen permitted, even in a backyard tiny house. 

Who cares if that's in your back yard or not if your back yard means you lose money. 

What type of life style do you want: urban, suburban, highrise, big yard and pool?  

Dad has been chugging a few (or several) beers and REALLY needs to pee.If there's only one bath, Dad is going to pee in the backyard.
