Depends what you did and the area, if you put marble in the hood then yeah maybe if you put granite in a normal SFR you are probably fine really tough without seeing what you did and where the house is though.

Once you complete the rehab you get it rented and then you would typically go conventional for the refinance.It's a very tough market for HML loans right now so you'll want to temper your expectations.

Jonathan, plenty of people make money as landlords in Austin but it is rough.Chicago has some very tough areas yet Austin has more murders than all of them -  Chicago Homicide 2019To be fair it's also one of the largest geographical areas and the north side of it is different than the southside of Austin.
