GC was paid for the bulk of the work but the final draw was withheld due to problems with the new central air system (does not work now on the 2nd floor), some electrical issues with switches controlling outlets that should be independent and failure of the GC to obtain all the necessary permits from the town.

I had to round up all kinds of evidence like power company records (showing two meters and two addresses to bill), testimonials from neighbors who have been there a long time indicating there has always been "TWO FRONT DOORS", county property tax records showing how it has always been billed, floor plans showing back to back kitchens on either side of the kitchen wall, and pictures in the attic showing the common DWV for both is in cast iron which was typical back in the days of original construction, as well as two electrical panels and showing pictures of EMT conduits coming up from both in the attic indicating again the wiring was done back in the days when EMT was common practice.

It's not just water cost,, it's hot water so gas to heat it and either gas or electric also for the dryer use.I would contact them and state that the appliances included with the rental were the only ones intended for use.. that they have installed the washer / dryer ( is it vented properly??)

Here is what I know:It has a septic system (condition unknown)It needs a new pump for the wellIt needs a complete electrical and plumbing system (I am an electrician so I can do that) I assume a new heating and air systemIf you look at the link seams like a total gut on the insideIt is currently 4+ hours from where I live.

Unless things have changed SLP does their own plumbing, electrical, and building inspections which can save some hassles.I don't have any contractors I can pass you as we were building on sweat equity back then.
