Hi everyone, I'm originally from the USA and came here when I was 5 so am a dual citizen.I live in Wellington and have a wife and a child on the way.I've been researching property investing for a month or so now and am looking to buy my first investment property in the next 6 months. 

Currently renting my basement out to a single mother and her child since last March, original rent was $1575 (all utilities) and I saw her situation at the time and dropped it to $1500 for a 12 month lease with all utilities included, she purchased a electric charging vehicle less than two months after moving in so obviously taking full advantage of all utilities included.Two months ago, she had a boyfriend stay with her and told me that it was temporary while he is looking for a new place.

Like Rich, I began my working life near the bottom, my first job was as a fry cook at a burger shop, then a diswasher and other odd jobs until I joined the Army to pay for medical expenses for my second child.

My father is an electrician and I spent the majority of m child hood and teen years working for him and helping remodel his home.I am currently a Tool and Die maker and I specialize in programming and running a CNC machining center.
