i just finally moved to Europe (i'm in Geneva, Switzerland) and will start my research on European real estate as it's much easier when closer... i hear some feedback on Spain lately that it's getting harder with Airbnb and individual property rentals as well as from David's post sounds like rentals don't generate great returns... i always thought of Spain as one of the best vacation destination in Europe, we personally go there every year with my husband and friends for the past 7 years, it's a little camping/bungalow spot 1 hour south of Barcelon on Costa Dorada) and it seems packed all the time and expending... so i was a bit surprised to hear that.. in my opinion of Spain was always a great spot for vacation rentals and therefore i thought buying rental properties will be a good investment.. we also want to live there eventually (early retirement :-))... so my goal is to combine a little business and lifestyle there...if you could give me a short advice on Spain in terms of areas to look for investing, developing areas, neighborhoods, etc where would that be?
