In my opinion a single family stand alone without a Homeowner Association or no PUD has great advantages: you don't have to get permission to paint your house, no one tells you that you cannot have a basketball hoop out front, and the only authority for permits is city or county planning. 

(Not going to speculate where the market might be then, since my crystal ball is broken).The last thing I'll say is, if you read the book, then you might remember the part where the author says "plant as many trees as you can water".

How easy the local Housing Authority is to deal with, which varies widely across the country, will also impact the ease of management. 

It depends.How friendly or hostile the Section 8 authority is depends on your area. 

I have a section 8 tenant that lost her benefits in May, but housing authority didn't tell us until July (tenant was just telling us her paperwork had lapsed).

Most county appraisal districts either post the combined tax rate or link to the taxing authorities' websites. 

Some countries tax authorities won’t recognize a disregarded LLC and would only consider a C corporation.

I don't play nice with people like that and would probably contact the authorities.
