My property is in Brighton and will be a condo conversion, planning to sell this fall (currently an up and down duplex).

They are now offering a damage protection plan  and  cancellation insurance with an additional optional fee cost to the guest.

Even if I'll live in this duplex, I plan on only living in it for a year.

It's important to analyze what went wrong to avoid making the same mistake again.I see a lot of new investors spend their very last dime purchasing a rental, then they have no money available to cover unforeseen events like what you experienced.

I wouldn't spend the time, 10% is a beautiful rate on self storage, best I've heard of in quite some time.

And what they want.That is not to brag nor something I wanted to spend my time doing.
