Hello all, Thinking about branching out to marketing to owners of vacant houses/code violation properties since our county has a website with a list of open cases / code violations.

I was introduce to a website city-data.com, while it give info, I found them to be outdated.

I remember back in the early 2000s there were a couple of big name note websites that were full of daisy chained notes and notes that weren't worth the paper it was written on but they were getting sucked up by dumb money.There are still a number of "guru"s that come out every now and then with a book or seminar on how to get rich quick buying and selling notes.

There are some states that require "minimum service", this DOJ website shows which states they are.

(I have never received inspection feedback after any of his visits).

I would consider building a targeted website for the demographics you are searching for and then working with a web developer to SEO the site as much as possible.I would suspect though that networking will most likely bring you your biggest leads early on.

Do not depend on websites like Zillow or anything like that because they are all over the place.
