Trust me @Nick D'Agostini I feel your pain, looking at a personal residence right now and am hearing the most ridiculous things.

Yes, the ridiculous excuse for a caulk job helped, yes, the extra water from the boyfriend helped, but it would have happened sooner or later.

In Houston for example, many out of state buyers were paying cash for 100k to 200k condos, because it was apparently more cost effective than paying ridiculous amounts for a week's rental. 

Yes, construction projects have delays, but over a year for a rental property is just ridiculous, especially when the contract clearly states 90 days for rehab.

Now that May look ok, but it’s only a 3% yearly gain which is ridiculously low for such a big risk (of course if thinks go right)So it would be better to find a good deal instead or do something else with that money even bonds will give you a better result.

Taking 24 hrs to get a repair out guy does not make you a "slumlord", that's ridiculous.  

It’s ridiculous that people are too lazy to put their butts in a receptacle that is only steps away, but it’s reality.

There are websites that will give you a "prescription" for a dog or whatever ridiculous animal you want without ever having seen or talked to you.

I know they are liars and the thought of that seems ridiculous, but in this day and age, you never know.

I'm also in the bay area and understand how ridiculously expensive can be to get started in RE (homeownership or investing).
