My family has a mobile home that is in bad shape and has issues with mold and a caving floor (water leak) and roof (tree damage) in certain areas.

Has anyone here redone a garage floor?

(new bathroom and kitchen) the only thing we'd possibly do is pull up the carpet and re finish the hardwood floors underneath.I have experience remodeling homes( I worked as a framer and helped my dad remodel homes as a teenager as well).the house is about 60-70 years old but in good condition.I plan on financing with a VA loan but might consider traditional if my father in law has his property sell and go in with him as a partner.My question is does this look like a good a good deal as a live in that we would be renting in about a year?

They only put the square footage of the first floor, and from the pictures and description you wouldn't know there was another floor to the house.I had preapproval from 4 different lenders and before I won, one of my lenders said it could be difficult to close because they won't consider the house move in ready since there isn't a stove and refrigerator.

If a tenant damages an area of a room and you have wood flooring, you cannot just replace that one area, you'd need to replace the entire room to make it look right. 

Lovely color of wood on the floors, and some great opportunities to make updates.

Should I just clean shampoo the carpet or should I rip out the carpet entirely are replace it with vinyl flooring. 

He was about to start replacing the floors when we found out he was being evicted because the property is listed for sale as a residential property. 

The larger trailer will need some new flooring, a roof, some fascia, and painting.

I didn't add any value to the deal other than putting in hardwood floors in the living room and building a window seat while I lived there.
