Thats why in most states you have to go through a criminal background check to get a license and MLS access.

I would argue the insecurity of Mexico from a criminal standpoint and corruption is a greater risk to anyone owning property in Mexico. 

Does anyone know of a good software/ service that provides background checks of a person's eviction history, criminal, and general background that's relevant for vetting tenants? 

I have a 4 plex I am working to fill and have an applicant with a criminal history.

BTW - that's a civil offense (aka a tort) called "Fraud in the Inducement" and you can be sued for it. https://legal-dictionary.thefr...Bind the contract with an absurdly low deposit, like $10.00.

I also ask the tenant to complete a tenant credit, criminal, and background check (usually a $35-$45 fee, paid by tenant applicant).

A place you can look up peoples public criminal records including evictions/possession and other things that some of these screening services can miss. 

We mange over 100 STR and MTR in Sacramento, Phoenix, and Smokies TN.Just like any other tenant you want to run credit and criminal background checks, as well as pay stubs.
